Namaste & Welcome to Gwalior! On the day of arrival at at Gwalior Airport/Railway station, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Relax at the hotel, later in the afternoon enjoy a half day city tour visiting the 5th century hill-top Gwalior Fort, is situated 300 feet high above the ground and it is considered as one of the most invincible forts in India. Other sightseeing attractions includes Gopachal Parvat Jaina monuments, a group of Jain carvings dated to between 7th and 15th century, the 9th century Teli Ka Mandir and the 11th century Sas Bahu ka Mandir. In the evening witness the spectacular sound and light show (entry on direct payment basis) at Gwalior Fort, where the history of Gwalior and its warriors are narrated. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Orchha. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Later in the afternoon, head out to explore Orchha - the capital of the mighty Bundela Rajput kings. Start your sightseeing with a visit at Jehangir Mahal, later visit the Raj Mahal, Phool Bagh, Dinman Hardaul's Palace and Sunder Mahal. Also visit the highly preserved temples of Orchha. The two main temples at Orchha are "the Ram Raja Temple" and "the Chaturbhuj temple". Overnight stay at the hotel.
Early morning, drive to Khajuraho. On arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon proceed on a temple tour visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Western Group of Temples. Here Kandariya Mahadev temple is the most popular and beautiful massive structure. It is a magnificent peace of artistic sculptural work. Khajuraho temples are more popular for erotic sculptured images but on your visit you will realize that such images are approx. 15% of all images and other images are Hindu gods, goddess, nymphs. Afterwards visit Eastern group of temples. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Today proceed to Panna National Park near the Ken River with its deep gorges, tranquil valley and dense teak forests. you could sight tigers and panthers along with herds of chinkara, sambar and several other wildlife species. The spectacular Pandav falls en route and other waterfalls in the area are popular picnic spots. The rest of the evening is at leisure to explore the local shops and market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Khajuraho.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Chanderi. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Later start exploring Chanderi, a town of historic importance right from the time of Malwa Sultans and Bundela Rajputs, who ruled the region in 15th and 16th century. Surrounded by exotic hills, lakes, and forest, this attractive destination is incredibly famous for Chanderi saris and historic monuments that draw a large number of tourists to this place every year. Also, the great Jain monuments and their fascinating culture make Chanderi, one of the most preffered tourist destinations in Madhya Pardesh. There are many things that boost Tourism in Chanderi like Chanderi Fort, Chanderi museum, Jain palaces, and exquisite lakes. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Bhopal. On the way, visit the Sanchi Stupas. Sanchi is 46 kms north east of Bhopal. It is unique for having the most perfect and well-preserved Buddhist stupas. The remains of Buddhist saints Sariputra and Mahamodgilya are also preserved here. The holy relics are displayed once a year, particularly, on the last Sunday of November during the annual Chetiyagiri Vihar festival. After sightseeing at Sanchi, continue your drive to Bhopal for overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit Bhimbetka. Bhimbetka is a World Heritage Site and is situated south of Bhopal. This is the site of the second oldest cave paintings in the world. The location is beautiful, along the Satpura range of mountains. The area around the caves is forested, which adds to the natural beauty. The Bhimbetka rock shelters exhibit the earliest traces of human life in India; its Stone Age rock paintings are approximately 9,000 years old, making them among the worlds oldest. Later in the evening, get back to the hotel in Bhopal for overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, Alkof Holidays representative will transfer you to the Bhopal Airport/Railway Station, to board a train or flight for onward destination. **Tour Ends**
