Ladakh Frozen Chadar Trek

Catch an early morning flight to Leh. Get ready to experience the winter season in Ladakh, it's freezing as you touch down at 11,500 ft above sea level. Our representative will welcome you at Leh airport, and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day free to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude of Ladakh. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Make an early start for the day with a cup of tea or coffee, before heading toward the Thiksey Monastery built in 1430 AD. At Thiksey Monastery, join the mystical Morning Prayers session, be mesmerised by the sound of hundreds of young and old lamas chanting together to the amazing sound of their singing bowls. Later, visit a local restaurant for a delicious Ladakhi breakfast. Afterwards visit the Hemis Gompa of Drukpa Lineage, the monastery was re-established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal. On the way back to leh visit Shey Gompa. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

Start the day with a luscious breakfast, before bracing yourself for some adventure. Start for a day trip to chilling the Chadar trek, a winter trail over the frozen Zanskar River. It is traditionally the only means of travel in the area during the harsh winters. Upon arrival in Chilling, check-in at a guest house. Dinner and stay at the Chilling guest house.

Post breakfast, we begin our Chadar trek by walking on the frozen Zanskar river from Chilling to Zaribago. The trek is of about 5 hours. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp in Zaribago.

Start the day with a luscious breakfast, before bracing yourself for some adventure. Today we'll trek on the ice of the frozen Zanskar river, till we reach Deepyokma. Overnight stay and dinner at the Deepyokma camp.

Start trekking from Deepyokma to Nyarakpulu below the Nyarak village. Overnight stay and dinner at the Nyarakpulu guest house.

After breakfast at the guest house, proceed to Lingshed by walking for around 1 hour. Dinner & overnight stay at Lingshed guest house.

Enjoy the day at the Frozen River Chadar Trek. Explore the landscapes of Lingshed, visit the oldest monasteries in Ladakh, Lingshed Monastery. Surrounded by mountains, the Lingshed village has been inhablited for almost 1000 years. Meet and greet the local people to know about their daily activities, culture and lifestyle. Dinner & overnight stay at Lingshed guest house.

Today, we'll trek till Nerak Pulu. Dinner and overnight stay in Nerak Pulu guest house.

Take a walk around 5 hours from Nyarakpulu to the campsite at Tso Mopoaldar. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp.

After breakfast, embark on a trek till Tilatdo. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp in Tilatdo.

Early in the morning, set off on a trail to Chilling. From Chilling, we'll drive back to the hotel in Leh. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

It's time to say farewell to the Ladakh Frozen Chadar Trek. Leave on time for Leh airport for onward journey to Delhi.
