On arrival at Rajkot Airport, Alkof Holidays representative meet you and transfer to the hotel. After freshen-up head-out to explore Rajkot, visit Watson Museum, a history museum with diverse artifacts, also visit Mahatma Gandhi Museum, Gandhi's childhood home, now a museum and Rotary Dolls Museum, a unique collection of Dolls from around the world. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Gir National Park. On the way, halt at Junagadh - an ancient fortified city lies on the foot of the temple-studded Girnar Hill. In Junagadh visit major tourist attractions including Uparkot Fort (an ancient fort dating 319 BC), Mahabat Maqbara Palace, and the Girnar Hill, one of the most ancient Jain Tirtha kshetras and Hindu kshetras in India. Later continue your drive to Gir National Park for overnight stay.
Enjoy 2 jeep safari's today inside the Gir National Park, one early in the morning and 2nd later in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the resort.
Sasan Gir National Park, is one of the highly popular protected areas, and the only home to regal Asiatic Lions. Gir National Park is known for boasting an impressive range of exotic flora and fauna.
The flora of Gir national park majorly encompasses dry and deciduous forests. Gir is home to more than five hundred lions and three hundred leopards. The cat family has a major habitat in the park. The which is Indian originated is also found here. Other than that Indian Leopards, Sloth Bears, Golden Jackals, Striped Hyenas, Indian fox, Wild Boars and Sambar deer reside here. Other than the Asiatic lion, if any animal steals the limelight, then it is Chowsingha (four-horned antelope). This is the only place in the world where this kind of antelope resides. More species that can be found in the park are chinkara, nilgai, chital, mongoose, honey badger, desert cats, rusty spotted cats, porcupine, and a hare. Apart from the mammals, the park has a large population of marsh crocodile or mugger that is among the 40 species of reptiles and amphibians recorded in the sanctuary.
Gir National Park is also a paradise for bird watchers with a check-list of more than 250 birds, including Crested Hawk-Eagle, Crested Serpent Eagle, Endangered Bonelli’s Eagles, Brown Fish Owl, Indian Eagle-Owl, Rock bush quail, Black headed oriole, and Vulture. For this reason, the park remains filled with wildlife lovers all the year round.
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Diu. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Later head-out to explore Diu, visit Diu Fort, a 16th-century sandstone Portuguese fort, also visit Saint Paul's Church, a baroque-style church dating from 1610 and Naida Caves, a Cave system with natural rock formations. Rest of the day, enjoy some quality time of the Nagoa Beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Rajkot. On the way visit halt at Gondal to visit the Naulakha Palace, the oldest extant palace in Gondal, India, dating back to the 18th century, with a "sculpted facade" is a part of the Darbargardh fort complex. Also visit BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Akshar Deri Gondal. Later continue your drive to Rajkot for overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to the Rajkot airport for onward journey.
