Itinerary
Your journey begins with a morning flight from Delhi to Dharamshala. Upon arrival at the Kangra Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, take some time to relax and acclimate to the serene surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on a brief orientation tour of McLeod Ganj, the vibrant suburb of Dharamshala that is often referred to as "Little Lhasa" due to its large Tibetan population. Visit the Tsuglagkhang Complex, which includes the Dalai Lama's temple, the Tibet Museum, and Namgyal Monastery. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the local markets and enjoying the peaceful ambiance. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before heading out to explore the rich Buddhist heritage of Dharamshala. Begin with a visit to the Norbulingka Institute, a center dedicated to preserving Tibetan culture. Here, you can witness traditional Tibetan arts and crafts being made, including thangka painting, woodworking, and metalwork. Next, proceed to the Gyuto Monastery, famous for its tantric meditation practices and impressive views of the Dhauladhar range. After a lunch break at a local Tibetan restaurant, visit the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives, which houses a vast collection of manuscripts and Buddhist texts. Conclude the day with a serene walk around Bhagsu Waterfall, followed by a visit to the nearby Bhagsunath Temple. In the evening, return to McLeod Ganj to enjoy a traditional Tibetan dinner before heading back to the hotel for the night.
On your final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel and spend the morning at your own pace. Depending on your flight time, you may choose to visit the Tibetan Children's Village, an educational community for Tibetan refugee children, or take a peaceful stroll around Dal Lake. After checking out from the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. Reflect on your enriching experiences and the serene beauty of Dharamshala as you make your way back home, carrying with you the tranquil essence of Buddhist spirituality.

Although tipping in India is not compulsory, doing so is a nice gesture. In some circumstances, a small tip is expected. The rules of etiquette for gratuity in India are a little muddled as a colonial past, tourism, and cultural influences clash. We do recommend tipping at various instances, but tip higher only when you are very happy with the service. Tip can given after completion of the services from 5$, 10$ or more as per your choice and depending on how much satisfied & happy you are with the service provider.
