Namaste and welcome to India! On the day of arrival at Mumbai Airport, Alkof Holidays representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, head towards the Gateway of India, an iconic landmark overlooking the Arabian Sea. Spend some time taking photos and enjoying the view. Walk to the nearby Mumbai Harbor and catch a ferry to Elephanta Island. The ferry ride takes about an hour, providing scenic views of the Mumbai coastline.
Arrive at Elephanta Island and explore the magnificent Elephanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These ancient rock-cut caves date back to the 5th to 8th centuries and feature intricately carved sculptures and temples dedicated to various Hindu deities, primarily Lord Shiva. Later return to Mumbai via ferry.
Once back in Mumbai, head to Prince of Wales Museum, you can find interesting artifacts of Indus Valley civilization here. Later visit Mani Bhavan, a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi.
After that Visit the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning Victorian-Gothic architecture. Take a moment to appreciate the intricate details of this historic railway station.
In the evening, explore the vibrant Colaba Causeway, a bustling street lined with shops, boutiques, and street vendors. This is a great place to shop for souvenirs, clothing, jewelry, and more. Overnight stay at the hotel in Mumbai.
After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to Mumbai Airport to board a flight to Nagpur.
Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the Nagpur airport and transfer you to the Pench National Park by road. On arrival check-in at the resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Pench National Park: Covering an area of around 758 sq. km of land, this national park is the original setting of the Rudyard Kipling's - The Jungle Book. This national park also finds its mention in Ain-i-Akbari, because of its natural wealth. In 2011, Pench also won the Best Management Award.
Enjoy 2 jeep safari's inside the National Park, one early in the morning and second later in the afternoon. During game viewing, you can spot several animal and bird species such as barking deer, sloth bear, porcupine, fox, Jungle cat, chowsingha, tigers, panthers, wild dog, lesser whistling teal, egret, racket-tailed drongo, chital, spotted deer, pintail, herons, magpie robin, barbet, red-vented bulbul and more. Overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Kanha National Park - one of the most well-maintained national parks in Asia. This park was an inspiration behind the popular novel by Rudyard Kipling - The Jungle Book. Spread in 940 sq. km of land, this national park has Indian wild dogs, Royal Bengal Tiger, sloth bears, leopards, and barasingha in good numbers. Upon arrival at the national park, check-in at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure, indulge yourself in leisure activities such as taking a walk in the nearby area, enjoying the lush greenery around, interacting with the park's naturalist and so on. Overnight stay at the resort.
Enjoy 2 jeep safari's inside the National Park, one early in the morning and second later in the afternoon. Explore the exotic variety of the park, also enjoy the verdant flora that is spread around. Kanha is known for housing more than 1000 species of flowering plants. During wildlife viewing, you can spot varied animals and birds like, Royal Bengal Tiger, chousingha, nilgai, mouse deer, jackal fox, sambar, gaur, peafowl, mongoose, leopard, python, spurfowl, ring doves, kingfishers, finches, woodpeckers, flycatchers, pintails, pond herons, rock pigeons, papihas, cuckoos, parakeets, green pigeons and so on. Also visit the Bamni Dadar or the Sunset Point, a major attraction inside the park. Overnight stay at the resort.
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Satpura National Park. Satpura Tiger Reserve is gifted with many values that attract hoards of tourists, pilgrims, scientists, sociologist etc. to the area. On arrival, check-in at the resort. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the resort.
Experience the thrill of two jeep safaris within the stunning Satpura Tiger Reserve, one bright and early in the morning and the other later in the afternoon. This reserve is home to a rich array of wildlife, including the majestic Indian Giant Squirrel, elegant Spotted Deer, powerful Indian Bison (Gaur), elusive Tigers, graceful Leopards, and a host of other fascinating creatures such as Wild Boar, Wild Dogs (known locally as Dholes), Sloth Bears, Black Bucks, Porcupines, Sambhars, Four-Horned Antelopes (Chowsinghas), Smooth Otters, Pangolins, and even Marsh Crocodiles. After these exciting safaris, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, perhaps relaxing and soaking in the natural beauty surrounding you. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Experience an excursion trip from Satpura to Pachmarhi, a charming hill station nestled amidst lush greenery and cascading waterfalls. Sit back and relax as you drive through picturesque landscapes, passing by quaint villages and rolling hills.
On arrival in Pachmarhi and head straight to your first destination, the spectacular Bee Falls. Marvel at the breath-taking cascade of water plunging into a serene pool below. Take some time to soak in the tranquil ambiance and capture memorable photos of this natural wonder.
Continue your exploration with a visit to Jata Shankar, a sacred cave temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Admire the unique rock formations inside the cave and feel the spiritual aura surrounding this revered site.
Around 1:00 PM, treat yourself to a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, savouring the flavours of traditional cuisine.
After lunch proceed to Handi Khoh, a magnificent gorge known for its panoramic views and rugged beauty. Stand in awe as you gaze down into the deep abyss carved by the Narmada River over centuries.
Later make your way to Dhoopgarh, the highest point in the Satpura range, to witness a mesmerizing sunset. Climb to the summit and behold the breath-taking vista stretching as far as the eye can see. As dusk descends, begin your journey back to Satpura, cherishing the memories of your day trip to Pachmarhi. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort in Satpura National Park.
After breakfast at the resort, leave for Bhopal, immersing yourself in the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region.
On the way visit Bhimbetka, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient rock shelters and cave paintings dating back thousands of years. On arrival at the Bhimbetka Rock Shelters and explore the fascinating archaeological site with a knowledgeable guide. Wander among the sandstone formations, marvelling at the intricate paintings depicting scenes from prehistoric life, including hunting, dancing, and daily rituals.
Later depart from Bhimbetka and continue your journey towards Bhopal. On arrival check-in at the hotel in Bhopal. After fresh-n-up, head-out to visit the iconic Taj-ul-Masajid, one of the largest mosques in India. Admire the grand architecture and serene ambiance of this historic landmark. Later in the evening, explore the bustling streets and vibrant bazaars of Bhopal, where you can shop for traditional handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bhopal.
After breakfast at the hotel, embark on an enriching excursion from Bhopal to Sanchi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its ancient Buddhist monuments and stupas, a scenic drive that takes approximately 1.5 hours.
On arrival at Sanchi and head straight to the iconic Sanchi Stupa, one of the oldest stone structures in India and a symbol of Buddhist architecture and artistry. Marvel at the intricate carvings and serene ambiance of this ancient site as your guide unravels the history and significance of each monument.
Later explore the Sanchi Archaeological Museum, located near the stupa complex, which houses a remarkable collection of artifacts and sculptures unearthed from the site. Gain insights into the life and teachings of Lord Buddha and the evolution of Buddhist art over the centuries. After that take a leisurely stroll around the tranquil surroundings of Sanchi, soaking in the spiritual ambiance and admiring the scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
Later in the afternoon, bid farewell to Sanchi and leave for Bhopal airport to board a flight to New Delhi. Upon arrival at New Delhi airport, our local representative will meet you and transfer you to hotel in Delhi for overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to IGI Airport New Delhi for onward journey.
