Raniji ki Baori
Raniji ki Baori, also "Queen's stepwell" is a noted stepwell situated in Bundi town in Rajasthan state in India. The stepwell is a masterpiece of grandeur and beauty. It is a huge structure of 260 ft x 40 ft with ornate and exquisitely carved Toran Gates, sculptures of Gods and Goddesses along with murals that add beauty, and the steps are adorned with pillared cenotaphs of the Hindu Rajput style. This baori was constructed in 1699 by Rani Nathavati Ji, the younger queen of the ruling Maharao Raja Anirudh Singh of Bundi.
Taragarh Fort
Taragarh Fort of Rajasthan is undeniably a renowned fort which stands out for its own identity in Bundi, Rajasthan. Taragarh Fort was the only place to an important generous state when it comes to the Rajput charm and grandeur. Taragarh Fort is a huge fort built in 1354 during the peak of Rajput rulers. Which is decorated with wild elephants. The fort consists of huge pools etched out of hard rock and its Bhim Burj, which is the leading of the walls, on which is built up a renowned cannon. This historical fort is the center of attraction among the explorers.
84 Pillered Cenotaph
Chaurasi Khambon ki Chhatri or "84-Pillared Cenotaph" is a chhatri located in Bundi town, Rajasthan, India. It was constructed in 1683 by the Maharaja of Bundi, Rao Raja Anirudh, as a memorial to his foster brother, Deva.It is also called "Musi Maharani's Chatri. It is a wonderful piece of architecture and stone sculpture. It has a beautiful garden also.
Nawal Sagar
Nawal Sagar is a man-made lake that is located at the centre of Bundi. The lake is clearly visible from the Taragarh Fort. The image of entire Bundi can be seen in the placid waters of this lake. The lake is square shaped and houses a small shrine of Lord Varuna. The shrine is partly submerged in the lake water and is surrounded by several baoris (step wells) from all sides.
Jait Sagar Lake
Jait Sagar Lake is a beautiful lake situated in the Aravalli ranges, less than 3 km from Bundi, which was built by Jait Meena. The beauty of the lake is enhanced by the lotus flowers blooming on the surface of the lake. Jait Sagar is surrounded by huge walls and has four entrances which serve as entry points to the lake.
Sukh Mahal
Sukh Mahal or Sukh Palace is a prime tourist attraction of Bundi. Sukh Mahal is located on Sukh Sagar Lake. It is a nice palace especially for the summer. Sukh Sagar Lake is surrounded by a lush garden of greenery. It is said that there is an old tunnel that connects this palace to the old palace of Bundi. Sukh Mahal was built as summer palace by Rao Ummed Singh. Located at the periphery of Sukh Sagar Lake and surrounded by a terraced garden, Sukh Mahal now houses a museum to explore rich history and cultural lineage of the Hada dynasty.
