Bijapur Fort

Bara Kaman

It is one of the unfinished monuments of the Adil Shahi dynasty, for unknown reasons the work was left unfinished and only two arches were raised vertically. It was initially referred to as Ali Roza which was later changed to Bara Kaman by Shah Nawaz Khan as it was going to be the 12th monument to be built during his reign.

Gol Gumbaz

Gol Gumbaz is the crypt of Mohammad Adil Shah, who was the Sultan of Bijapur. He was the seventh ruler of the Adil Shah dynasty. This grand monument was built in the year 1656 by the architect Yakut of Dabul. The name of the monument is derived from "Gola Gummata" or "Gol Gombadha", which means "circular dome".
