Similar to the Taj Mahal, Bibi Ka Maqbara is a beautiful tomb of Rabia-ul-Daurani Bano Begum, wife of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Bibi Ka Maqbara was built by Aurangzeb in the memory of his wife in 1661. The monument resembles the famous Taj Mahal, as it was the main inspiration for the construction of the design and is often referred to as the Taj of the Deccan. The Bibi Ka Maqbara was intended to rival the Taj Mahal, but due to the decline in architecture and the proportions of the structure, it resulted in a complete imitation of the same. Incidentally, it is one of the largest structures built during the reign of Aurangzeb. The Samadhi is a very popular attraction and the monument offers something beautiful against the backdrop of the mountain ranges.
