The waterfall is named after the saint Jogi who used to meditate at this place. The unique feature of this waterfall is the point of origin. Unlike the traditional waterfalls, Jogi Gundi Falls rises from a cave and flows through a hill. The water of this stream joins the Malapahadi River, a tributary of the Tungabhadra. The surroundings of the falls reflect great natural beauty and it is a perfect place to spend a few hours.

A 17th century Jain temple dedicated to a Tirthankara is situated on the top of the hill and the place is known to have sheltered an Acharya Kundakund during the past centuries.

The sanctuary has many animals including barking deer, bonnet macaque, common langur, gaur, jackal, leopard, lion-tailed macaque, sambhar, spotted deer, tiger, wild dog and wild boar. There are also some exquisite birds like Ceylon Frogmouth, Malabar Pied Hornbill, Malabar Trogon and Malabar Whistling Thrush which can be found in Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary. Reptiles like python, monitor lizard and king cobra are found in abundance in the forest. The forest is also a butterfly lover's paradise.

Sunset Point is a vantage point located in Agumbe, Karnataka. Situated on Udupi-Agumbe road, it is one of the popular viewpoints in Agumabe and one of the top Agumbe tourist places. Located at an altitude of 825 meters above sea level, Sunset Point is one of the highest peaks in the Western Ghats, offering a panoramic view of the setting sun on the horizon of the Arabian Sea. The point is located at the 14th hairpin turn of the Ghat road which leads to Agumbe and attracts many tourists every year. On a clear day, one can have a spectacular view of the setting sun with some panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and even the Arabian Sea.
