Best time to visit Agra

April to June: Visiting Agra during April to June is not the best time due to the hot and dry weather. The temperature during this period can reach up to 40°C or more, making it uncomfortable for sightseeing and touring the city.

July to September: The monsoon season, which runs from July to September, should be avoided as heavy rainfall can make it difficult to move around and enjoy the sights.

How to reach Agra

Agra is well connected by road, rail, and air. The city has its own airport, the Kheria Airport, which is well-connected to major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Lucknow.

By Air: The nearest airport to Agra is the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, which is approximately 210 km away. From there, you can take a domestic flight to Kheria Airport in Agra, or you can also fly to Agra directly via a small number of domestic airlines that operate flights to Agra from select cities in India. Once you land in Agra you can take a taxi or bus to reach the city.

By Train: Agra has its own railway station and is well connected to major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur.

By Bus: Agra is also well-connected by road and there are regular bus services from Delhi, Jaipur, and other major cities in the region.

By Car: You can also rent a car or hire a taxi to reach Agra from nearby cities like Delhi and Jaipur.

It's important to note that the most common way to reach Agra is by train or by bus from Delhi, and it will take around 4-5 hours by either mode of transportation. If you want to take a shorter route then you can take a flight from Delhi to Agra.
